Young people from Conwy Youth Service took part in an environmental project at Ysgol Tudno in Llandudno earlier this month.

Nine volunteers from the youth service aged between 11 and 25 took on the task of tidying up the play area and cutting back bushes and weeds as well as creating nature areas for pupils. They also painted fences, gates and play equipment.

The project involved the young people volunteering their time over four days, working from 10am to 4pm each day.

Conwy Youth Service runs youth clubs throughout the County for young people aged 11 to 25 years old.

The Service offers a range of sports and fitness sessions, runs activities to promote health and wellbeing, provides a range of opportunities for volunteering and supports the delivery of the Duke of Edinburgh Award (DofE) throughout the county

Cllr Julie Fallon, Conwy County Borough Council Cabinet Member, said, “The members of the youth service worked really hard, making a great difference to the areas at the front and back of the school.

"Conwy’s Youth Service provides a great way for young people to come together to make a difference to their own lives and their communities, and gain valuable experience and life skills.”
