Rydal Penrhos’ Community Choir lent their support to a prominent event within the community last weekend.

The group performed at the Llandudno Friends of Tenovus Care Spring Concert, which took place on Saturday, April 13th at the United Reformed Church in Rhos on Sea.

The event celebrated the five-year anniversary of the Sing with Us Llandudno Choir, and the concert also featured performances from the Jessica Thomas Country Band and the Llandudno Choir.

All proceeds were donated to Tenovus Cancer Care, who aim to help prevent, treat and find a cure for the disease.

The Community Choir was set up in 2013 to bring together the voices of people associated with the school, and the choir has enjoyed a phenomenal amount of success since its inception.

It is led by Rydal Penrhos’ immensely talented Director of Music Pete Wiliams, and the choir performs at high-profile events such as the Christmas Concert and Speech Day.

Members of the Rydal Penrhos family and the wider community are welcome to join.

Mr Williams, said: “It was another exceptional performance from our Community Choir from an event that we were proud to support.

“They are a fantastic group to work and I would like to thank them all for their ongoing contributions to the Choir both at school and wider events throughout our wonderful part of the world.”

There is no audition necessary in regards to joining the Community Choir, and anyone wishing to acquire more information should contact Andy Lee via email at Andrew.M.Lee@hotmail.co.uk.
