Colwyn Bay FC Manager Craig Hogg has given an update on the injury suffered by Andy Coughlin at the end of the 2-2 draw at Leek.

"Unfortunately our fears were confirmed very late on Tuesday night when Andy had an x-ray back in Liverpool and showed he has a fractured the ulna in his left forearm," reports the manager.

"He is due to have an operation this week to put a plate in his arm to help heal the break."

"I feel frustrated for Andy. He has been excellent for us between the posts and was a huge factor in us coming away from Leek with a point on Tuesday. For his injury to happen with literally the last kick of the game in injury time was a bit hard to take. We all look forward to seeing him play again in the future."

"Paddy Rutter has now recovered from his back issue and the timing of that could not be better. He will now get his chance to play and I have every confidence in him. Iam really fortunate to have two keepers with the ability of Paddy and Andy."

"Local lad Joe Evans has also been promoted from the Reserves and will be added to the first team squad when work availability allows."
