Choral Festival takes break until St David's Day 2021

March 10, 2020 - 1167 views

The North Wales Choral Festival, an annual event held in Venue Cymru, Llandudno, takes a break this year due to changing its dates from the Autumn to incorporate a St David’s Day celebration as part of the event.

The next Festival will be held 5-7 March, 2021, in Venue Cymru, with the slight change in name to the North Wales Choir Festival.

The opening night will be a celebration of voices to coincide with national St David’s Day. Local choirs will perform a massed choir of around 300 voices. Join in on a spectacular Welsh celebration and a fabulous opening to a choral weekend.

Saturday and Sunday will continue with competitions during the day and the much loved Festival Celebration Concert on Saturday evening. The competition categories have been announced as Male Voice, Just for Fun, and Youth on Saturday, followed by Ladies, Barbershop, and Mixed categories on the Sunday.

The Festival Celebration Concert on Saturday evening is where choirs can perform without worrying about the watchful eye of the adjudicators!

The Festival’s organisers are very excited about the new element and hope all previous choirs as well as new ones join them in Venue Cymru in March 2021.
