A row over the alleged poor condition of the children's playpark in Eirias Park, Colwyn Bay is causing much controversy on social media and within the community.
Parents and local town leaders have gone online to take Conwy County Borough Council to task for what they claim is poor upkeep and 'unsafe' equipment in the park.
The row has esculated to the point that Councillor Chris Hughes has just launched an online petition to encourage the council to take the matter seriously and improve the quality of the play area.
Cllr Hughes says online, "The condition of play equipment in Eirias Park, Colwyn Bay is deteriorating and becoming unsafe whilst the council pours millions into the provision of elite performance facilities. Our children need facilities for play. Eirias Park provides the town centre's only children's play area, its time Conwy Council honoured its commitment to improve play facilities in the park".
