Celebrations to mark 75 years of much loved coach firm

One of North Wales' top travel companies, Voel Coaches is approaching a special milestone at its base in Dyserth.

As it marks its 75th anniversary, the company is celebrating with a jam-packed schedule with two days of music, celebrations, activities, and opportunities for their customers to win some epic prizes.

Owners Mavis & Melvyn Kerfoot-Davies, shared their thoughts on the anniversary and what is to be expected.

“To mark this prestigious milestone of our company, we are really excited to be bringing these fantastic concerts to the local area for our surrounding communities who have supported us over the years, we have some extra special surprises coming up in 2024.”

From humble beginnings, the company has expanded to become a well-known local enterprise with a stellar reputation in the coach travel sector as a whole. The Company is proud that it is still owned by the same family, with the third and fourth generations now actively participating in day-to-day operations.

Members of the Voel team are likewise excited, as they share their thoughts on what Voel means to them.

The celebrations will be hosted at The Pavilion Theatre, an iconic venue in the heart of Rhyl, which certainly mirrors the historical success of Voel’s 75th anniversary.

The 2 day event is being managed by Chris Gentile and Jessica Blacknell, valued employees of Voel Coaches. They explained: "The company is celebrating its 75th anniversary, which is a significant milestone. What better way to honour our communities' heritage than by organising two exciting concerts?

"It is a joy to be bringing some of the performers in the line-up to The Pavilion Theatre after we have taken many passengers to see them at theatres and arenas throughout the UK. This is just the beginning of what we have planned for 2024.”

This amazing lineup across both dates (Friday 20th and Saturday 21st Sept 2024) includes award-winning British boyband Blue, former Westlife member Brian McFadden and Boyzone’s Keith Duffy as Boyzlife, The voice of The M People, Heather Small and The Jerseys.

The remainder of the lineup will not disappoint, with thrilling special appearances from Britain’s Got Talent Semi-Finalists, the Welsh of the West End, local choir, Trelawnyd Male Voice Choir and rising local talent, Ella-Grace. There will also be a few extra surprises at each concert.

Not only that, but there will be possibilities to participate in competitions to win special getaways, exciting activities for the family, and exclusive after parties.
