All primary schools in Conwy will close on Tuesday 15th December and move to blended learning until the end of term.
However, schools will offer care for the children of key workers and vulnerable children. This follows the Welsh Government announcement last Thursday that all secondary schools and colleges in Wales will move to online learning as from today, Monday 14th December.
Conwy County Borough Council has taken the decision, after seeing an increase in the number of staff and pupils testing positive for Coronavirus or having to self-isolate.
The council say that the action will also hopefully reduce the risk of families having to self-isolate during the Christmas holidays which would prevent them seeing those in their 3 household bubble.
