After an meeting in which impassioned fans and shareholders came together, it has been announced that the Seagulls are to leave the English leagues and instead return to the Welsh leagues.

At the busy meeting on Llanellian Road it was agreed that Colwyn Bay FC should make the switch to help with financial worries. They currently play in Northern Premier League Division One West.

The club's shareholders voted in favour of joining the Welsh leagues following a meeting earlier tonight.

Club chairman Bill Murray told the special meeting that there was a very real risk that the club would not survive if it remained in the English pyramid.
