Blues Brothers and the Boys set to wow audiences

July 04, 2019 - 1180 views

Another great month of entertainment is heading to North Wales at our two favourite local theatres.

At Venue Cymru in Llandudno later this month is Here Comes The Boy, the show that everyone has been waiting for.

Three of the biggest rock stars of dance, Aljaž Škorjanec, Giovanni Pernice and Gorka Marquez, battle each other every night in Latin, Ballroom, commercial and contemporary, and they need you to decide the champion!

This guilty pleasure will be like no other Strictly show. Directed and choreographed by Gareth Walker, co-choreographed by Janette Manrara, and from the producers of Rip it Up and Remembering Fred.

Also lined up is the award-winning spectacular which is Europe’s biggest and best-loved production of the Blues Brothers.

The show is a high-octane, adrenaline-pumping musical mash-up which has jump started the legacy of Jake and Elwood for a new generation with its modern twist on this cult classic and an energy and spirit that is impossible to resist.

Back with a brand new mission, The Chicago Blues Brothers are heading for Detroit to take on some of the biggest and most loved Motown anthems along with all the Blue Brothers classics you know and love.

With hit’s from Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Sam and Dave, James Brown, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Jackson 5 and the Supremes.

At Theatr Colwyn on Abergele Road, the Colwyn Bay Stagecoach amateur production of Annie Junior will delight family audiences and fans of Paul Simon’s music will enjoy Gary Edward Jones in Something About Simon.
