Budding photographers and artists really stood up to a recent challenge and took part in a wonderful local competition featuring nature in Bay of Colwyn gardens.
Today, the winners of the Colwyn in Bloom adult art and photography competition were announced at the Bay Gallery.
The competition coincides with the time of year that local gardeners and businesses get set to show off their displays to judges as part of the annual Colwyn in Bloom and a wider Wales in Bloom competition. This year's theme was on ‘Bees’.
Congratulations to Ann Grey who took first place and third placed Brenda Pemberton who were presented with cash prizes by the Mayor of the Bay of Colwyn Cllr Merrill Jones. The art prizes were kindly sponsored by the Bay Gallery.
Unfortunately Alison Hughes who came second was unable to attend, but her work was proudly displayed along with work from the other winners in the gallery.
The Bay of Colwyn Town Council congratulated all the worthy winners and thanked everyone who entered and supported the competition.
