Appeal for A55 crash witnesses as children are injured

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision on the A55 at Abergwyngregyn.

The incident happened at 8.30am yesterday, Wednesday 21st August, when a car collided with the central reservation and landed on its roof on the westbound carriageway.

Three children have been taken to hospital with injuries which are described as serious.

PC Eifion Jones of the Roads Policing Unit said: “We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have seen the silver Volkswagen travelling along the road prior to the collision to come forward.”

“We would also like to speak to anybody who may have dash cam footage from their vehicles prior to the collision.”
