The Minister for Mental Health and Early Years in Wales, Sarah Murphy, has announced the launch of a new National Advisory and Liaison Service to provide support for those affected by suicide.
The service, delivered by the Jac Lewis Foundation, aims to offer targeted support to individuals impacted by suicide or unexplained deaths.
The announcement comes on World Suicide Prevention Day, a day marked to provide worldwide commitment and action to prevent suicides, with activities and actions internationally.
In addition, new guidance will be published to help organizations better understand their role in supporting those bereaved or affected by suicide.
This initiative comes in response to the increase in suicide deaths in Wales, with the highest number reported since 2013.
