100 up for Leach: Rugby stalwart celebrated

March 15, 2019

Josh Leach has been part of the RGC tapestry for longer than he will care to remember, and after reaching 100 RGC appearances he has played a huge part in RGC’s journey both on and off the field.

From a fresh faced youngster in the days before RGC were in the leagues, to promotions through the leagues he has worn a range of jerseys and played in a number of positions to claim the Mr Versatile name.

Not only has he been an influence on the field, his coaching roles have also been vital in RGC’s development.

Playing or Coaching Josh Leach is fully committed and puts everything into it, and it is fair to say RGC has benefited from that in so many ways.

RGC thought it would be good to get some words from some people who know him including the club where he started.

Colwyn Bay RFC

It’s not often you get to applaud the progress of an old team mate. But Josh deserves the praise of his club and old team mates. An abrasive and physical player who gives everything to the team, whether it’s for the Bay in division  one fifteen years ago or again for the Bay mid table in division two or pulling on the Ox Blood jersey of RGC Josh leaves it all on the pitch, this is why he’s reached this milestone. Well done Josh. From all at the Bay..

Rachel Taylor – Colwyn Bay Coach

It’s fantastic to see Josh reach his 100th appearance for RGC. He is a real ambassador for RGC. All at Colwyn Bay RFC wish him all the best. Go well Joshie!

Former RGC Scrum-half Alex Schwarz

Huge congratulations to Josh on reaching the 100 games for RGC. When you consider he’s done that playing scrum half, centre and in the back row it speaks volumes about what an intelligent rugby player he is. On top of that he’s a fantastic coach and, on a personal level, helped me develop as a player throughout my time at RGC.
